Starting a course is easy. Finishing it is where most of us fall down. The good news: finishing has very little to do with willpower and a lot to do with setup.
1. Pick one course, not five
A full catalogue is tempting. Save the others to your list and commit to one course until it is done. Your saved list will still be there.
2. Schedule lessons like meetings
Put two or three short sessions in your calendar each week. Twenty minutes is enough for most lessons.
3. Do the exercise before the next video
Watching feels like progress, but the skill is built in the exercise. Don't press next until you've tried it.
4. Mark lessons complete
Seeing the progress bar move is small but real motivation. Tick each lesson off as you go.
5. Expect a dip around lesson three
The novelty wears off and the material gets harder. That's normal. Push through one more lesson and momentum usually comes back.
The best course is the one you finish.
